The first phase of the development will seem much like nearby areas of Colwood - family oriented with a mix of detached homes and townhouses. Secondary suites will also be permitted in many homes. Can I operate a business from my home? Some zones do allow a home business, provided that it does not vary or alter the residential appearance of the property and is subject to other regulations. A business licence is required. What does the future hold for Royal Bay? As Royal Bay develops, there will be a broader mix of housing types-more townhouses, low-rise apartments and a mix of stores and apartments within buildings, especially in the Village Centre. By the time Royal Bay is fully developed, it will have a more urban form and personality. It will be home to people from all walks of life. What are some of the municipal services?
